May already?

We are now into the second week of May!

On Friday, the science travel brochures and the Unit 6 math test were sent home to be signed. We finished our reading tests last week and this week will complete the board math test. Today, Mr Tranburg from the outdoor education unit was in to talk with us about our trip taking place this Wednesday. We were excited to learn that in the afternoon we will doing some GPS navigation. The forecast is predicting showers and overcast weather so be sure to dress in layers. Though we will be in the valley, he says that we won't be sheltered from the wind.

This Friday, May 15th is a PD day and Monday the 18th is a holiday.
May 22nd is grade 6 band tours.
May 29th is the last day of band.
June 1st is our school track and field date. We are always looking for parent volunteers (a note went home last week).

Have a great week!

Let's try this!

Surprise! Mme Sweeney's post wasn't the last! I am going to give this a try though I will admit that I am on a bit of a learning curve. I'll try to post important deadlines or information on the blog. If you need to communicate with me the best way to contact will still be by email.

Today was our last Create lesson Lloyd Dubois. I am sending home one of the pieces they worked on. They turned out fantastic!

  • Crooked Valley permission forms and payment are due (online payment). Trip is May 13th.
  • TUSC Group B April 30th
  • Step 1 of our English poetry assignment should be completed.
  • We will soon be finishing our geometry unit in math (Unit 6). Expect a review and test sometime next week.
  • Science travel brochures were due last week.
